Book buffs and movie buffs will have the chance to sift through thousands of titles at Windsor Public Library’s upcoming book sales.
WPL says there will be books and movies covering all genres of reading and viewing tastes. There will be hardcover books, paperbacks and DVDs on sale for $2 each.
Small paperbacks and children’s picture books will cost $1, but the library encourages everyone to take one bag and fill it with books for just $5, or fill three bags for $10 (WPL will provide the bags.)
While the library sale will be filled with plenty of fiction, there will also be bios, history, self-help, and how-to articles available.
The books and DVDs are released for sale through a “de-selection process” that rendered them surplus or were classified as obsolete, according to WPL.
All proceeds from the sale of the books will go towards the purchase of new library materials.
The book sale will take place this weekend at the Budimir branch (1310 chemin Grand Marais Ouest) Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
A second sale will take place at the Riverside branch (6305 Wyandotte Street East) on Friday May 13 and Saturday May 14 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
