THE Kelso Ram Sales will return to Springwood Park, home of the Border Union Agricultural Society, on Friday, September 9, 2022.
This internationally acclaimed sale has been held in Kelso since 1838 and continues to be the nation’s premier ram sale.
With sales in 15 rings, this important event has again been enthusiastically received by shippers and buyers, old and new, and is still generating buzz in the farming community across the UK.
Dan Withall, Executive Director of the Border Union Agricultural Society, said: “We are delighted to present this year’s sale, back under the guise of marquees for 2022. We have already received inquiries from across the country and we are looking forward expect healthy entries for this year. . The whole region benefits from the sales of Kelso Ram, whose commercial importance is recognized across Scottish borders and North Northumberland.
Peter Douglas, President of the Border Union Agricultural Society, said: “2021 has been a huge success with new record averages and a record price for the Texel sheepskin ram. We’re excited to be back undercover in 2022 and expecting a great entry book for this year’s event.

2022 Kelso Ram sales, backed by Solantel, will begin at 10 a.m. sharp on Friday, September 9. Registrations will close on August 3. Voting will take place on Thursday 11 August.
