Mercy Moore, former Tallahassee resident and student at Florida State University, won second place for “Female Actress of the Year” at the International Model and Talent Association conference on July 22 held in Orlando.
Moore was born in Winter Haven, and after graduating from high school, he attended Florida State University, studied media and communications, and got involved in performance studies and modeling.
As a college student, she was known to be the “SuperNole”. She was sponsored by the Seminole Boosters and wore full body paint and costumes for all football games. She interned for Ron Sachs Communications and worked at Leadership Florida before moving to Los Angeles to get closer to the entertainment world.
She has worked in digital media management, trained (and still does) with the prestigious improv school, The Groundlings Theater, and was signed by a major commercial agency – BBA Talent.
Moore has been involved in campaigns for Uber, Ninja, Spotify, Crunch Bar, ESPN College Game Day, and Smile Direct Club and has appeared on the covers of over 100 landmark romance novels.
Portland Agency – IMD Inc. represented her at the IMTA Annual Conference in Orlando, July 19-23, 2021, where she entered 12 contests – 7 for acting and 5 for modeling.
Moore placed in the Top Ten for six of those competitions, including first place for the TV Host competition and second place for Theatrical Headshots. Moore was called to the stage as a Top Ten finalist for both divisions – Female Model and Female Actress.
She received the first finalist medal for Female Actress of the Year and a total of 8 medals.
To put this award into perspective, in 1997, Ashton Kutcher won second place for Male Model of the Year at IMTA. Against whom did he lose? Josh Duhamel. Other celebrities who have competed and won awards at IMTA include Jessica Biel, Eva Longoria, Elijah Wood, Aaron Paul and Katie Holmes, among others.
