Chola Inv Finance shares up 1.44% as Sensex rises

The shares of & Finance Company Ltd. gained 1.44% to 687.15 rupees in Thursday’s 10:56 am (IST) session, even as the benchmark Sensex shares traded down 743.9 points at 56560.22.

Earlier in the day, the stock saw a gap in early trading. The stock quoted a 52-week high of Rs 770.05 and a 52-week low of Rs 469.75 on NSE. Around 20992 shares changed hands on the counter till 10:56 (IST).

The stock opened at Rs 684.0 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 688.0 and Rs 679.05 during the session so far. The stock showed a price to earnings (PE) ratio of 26.16, earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 26.21 and price to book value (PB) of 5.01, while return on equity (ROE) stood at Rs 18.29.

The promoters held 51.52% of the company’s capital as of July 28, while the stakes of FII and MF amounted to 20.22% and 19.2% respectively.

For the quarter ended March 31, 2022, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 2,656.63 crore, up 3.88% from the previous quarter of Rs 2,557.46 crore and up 7.13% from compared to the same quarter a year ago. The company reported a net profit of Rs 686.74 crore for the last quarter, up 180.15% from the corresponding quarter last year.
